John Oropesa

JOHN OROPESA

President / Managing Member

John Oropesa founded Orocon Construction in 2006 with a vision of delivering quality projects with honesty and integrity, to surpass his client’s expectations from conception to completion. With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, he is responsible for the company’s overall business management, focusing on business development, estimating and project management. 


John’s wealth of experience as a general contractor, developer , and subcontractor provides a depth and perspective that is uncommon in the industry today. John has managed a variety of project types including commercial, medical, industrial, parking garages, hospitality, gaming, and condominiums. His background provides Orocon’s customers the advantage of a large contractor’s expertise combined with the personal attention one would expect from a small business.

David King

DAVID KING

Vice President of Field Operations
David has over 35 years of experience and oversees Orocon’s field operations, which include managing labor, equipment and subcontractors while enforcing the company’s policies and procedures for safety and quality. He began his career in his home state of Kentucky as a surveyor and field engineer. He went on to work for several large construction companies throughout the United States as well as Mexico. He completed a wide variety of projects including major industrial facilities, hotels, and recreational parks. 

David's sound construction knowledge and outstanding people skills earned him the reputation as one of the best superintendents in the area. His skills garnered the attention of many, earning him an Outstanding Achievement Award from the City of Cape Coral, Florida for his work on the City Waterpark and Special Recognition for Performance from the Mississippi Bureau of Buildings for his work on the Liberal Arts Building at Jackson State University. David has extensive experience in many project types including industrial, commercial, parking garages, entertainment, educational, medical, and hospitality.

David King

CHARLIE WARDEN

Vice President of Operations

Charlie Warden joined Orocon Construction, LLC in December 2014.  With more than 19 years in the construction industry, he has experience in all phases of multi-million dollar construction projects including pre-construction and post construction closeout with strong credentials and a proven history of on-time, on-budget and high-quality project completions. His experience includes commercial, hospitality, entertainment, education, and government contracts for public-sector and private-sector clients.  Charlie's experience in the field as superintendent and service as project manager gives him a great perspective and skillset to lead our construction operations.

   

Charlie is a LEED Accredited Professional, completed U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification, and certifications for Construction Safety, GA Erosion and Sediment Level 1A Certified, Structural Masonry Inspection Workshop, and ACIG’s Root Cause Analysis Training Certification.

Marilyn McDavid

MARILYN MCDAVID

Office Manager

Marilyn McDavid is Orocon Construction’s office manager and is responsible for overseeing accounting, payroll, human resources, and benefits administration. Marilyn has 35+ years of experience in the construction industry. She has been involved in the administration of military housing, hospitality, gaming, and shipbuilding projects for construction firms of various sizes.


Marilyn has a unique pool of experience including field office management, material control management, quality control inspection, human resources, accounting, estimating, and executive office administration. She is involved in all of Orocon’s projects and is an extremely valuable asset to our company.

MILLIE HILL

Human Resources Manager

Millie Hill is Orocon Construction’s human resources manager and is responsible for payroll, human resources, and benefits administration. Millie has more than 24 years of experience in human resources and 16 years in the construction industry.
