President / Managing Member
John Oropesa founded Orocon Construction in 2006 with a vision of delivering quality projects with honesty and integrity, surpassing our customer’s expectations every step of the way. John has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry and is responsible for the company’s overall business management, focusing on business development, estimating and project management. 

John’s experiences as a subcontractor, general contractor and developer provides a depth and perspective that is uncommon in the industry today. John has managed a variety of project types including commercial, medical, industrial, parking garages, hospitality, gaming, and condominiums. His background provides Orocon’s customers the advantage of a large contractor’s expertise combined with the personal attention one would expect from a small business.

David King

DAVID KING

Vice President
David has over 35 years of experience and oversees Orocon’s field operations, which include managing labor, equipment and subcontractors while enforcing the company’s policies and procedures for safety and quality. He began his career in his home state of Kentucky as a surveyor and field engineer. He went on to work for several large construction companies throughout the United States as well as Mexico. He completed a wide variety of projects including major industrial facilities, hotels, and recreational parks. 

David's sound construction knowledge and outstanding people skills earned him the reputation as one of the best superintendents in the area. His skills garnered the attention of many, earning him an Outstanding Achievement Award from the City of Cape Coral, Florida for his work on the City Waterpark and Special Recognition for Performance from the Mississippi Bureau of Buildings for his work on the Liberal Arts Building at Jackson State University. David has extensive experience in many project types including industrial, commercial, parking garages, entertainment, educational, medical, and hospitality.

Bill Brattain

BILL BRATTAIN

Senior Project Manager
Bill Brattain is a senior project manager with more than 35 years of experience and has managed individual projects to $200,000,000. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Construction Option from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. During his tenure in the construction industry, Bill has extensive hands-on experience in estimating, purchasing, and bidding in a variety of projects such as schools, correctional facilities, hospitals, casinos, etc. including federal, state, municipal, educational and private fields of work. His management portfolio includes Leon Levine Research Center at Duke University, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Community Buildings care centers and independent living units, and The Heritage Apartments.

LINDSAY SKRMETTA

Senior Project Manager
Lindsay Skrmetta is Orocon Construction's newest Senior Project Manager.  With over 14 years of construction experience, she has a proven ability to facilitate complex contracts and project sites. She has individual project management experience up to $245 Million. Lindsay has managed the construction of the U.S. Consulate Compound in Monterrey, Mexico, Delta-Northwest Airlines World Headquarters Integration, Isle of Capri Casino Barge & Pavilion and multiple condominium projects. With this experience she demonstrates her ability to be successful across multiple sectors of the construction industry.

Marilyn McDavid

MARILYN MCDAVID

Office Manager
Marilyn McDavid is Orocon Construction’s office manager and is responsible for overseeing accounting, payroll, human resources, and benefits administration. Marilyn has 35+ years of experience in the construction industry. She has been involved in the administration of military housing, hospitality, gaming, and shipbuilding projects for construction firms of various sizes.

Marilyn has a unique pool of experience including field office management, material control management, quality control inspection, human resources, accounting, estimating, and executive office administration. She is involved in all of Orocon’s projects and is an extremely valuable asset to our company.

MILLIE HILL

Human Resources Officer
Millie Hill is Orocon Construction’s human resources and subcontract administrator and is responsible for payroll, human resources, benefits administration, subcontract distribution and tracking. Millie has more than 14 years of experience in human resources and 7 years in the construction industry.
